"Choose Happiness" is an original painting by Irene Chavez done with acrylic paint on a 8" x 10" flat canvas. Along with Mexican Butterflies, this painting was one of the first paintings that were meaningful to Irene. This piece represents the ability to choose happiness under any circumstance. This painting was a turning point for Irene, she realized that happiness in her art was worth more than a high paying draining job. At this moment Irene had decided her goal was to become a full time artist by the end of 2021. Spoiler alert: She became a full time artist October 2021!
