"Orange Butterflies" is an original painting by Irene Chavez done with acrylic paint on a 12" x 12" stretched canvas. Just like Purple World, this painting was made to represent the complementary colors of the color wheel. Irene learned in highschool that movies and advertisements use the colors orange and blue to catch the viewer's attention. She decided to try it out for herself by using orange in the butterflies while keeping the sky blue.
